Crispy Chicken Wings

Football season has started, and why not make your own appetizers.  Have your friends over and enjoy a great afternoon.  My husband is an alumni of  the "U" University of Miami.  This night they were playing UNC. I decided to make some crispy wings and some dipping sauces.  It was a great game and thanks God, that UM won the game.

I like my wings mild, while my husband likes them hot. He likes blue cheese and I like ranch dressing. So having the sauces on the side works out better.

Ingredients

20 wings
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
3 eggs, beaten
oil for frying

Wash and pat dry the wings.  In a shallow dish combine the flour, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Seasoning the flour makes these wings even better. In another shallow dish add the eggs. Dip the wings in the eggs first then into the flour, make sure to cover the wing completely. Shake off any excess flour.

Heat oil in a frying pan on medium heat or deep fryer.  Fry wings several pieces at a time for about 6-8 minutes each or until golden brown and juices run clear. Drain on paper towel and enjoy with some hot sauce, BBQ sauce, blue cheese or ranch dressing!!
